Job Vacancy with Energy4All:
Communications and Support Officer
with Westmill Solar and Wind Co-operatives
Are you passionate about tackling climate change through community energy and co-operatives? Join our purpose-driven team to support the work and development of two of the UK’s largest community energy co-operatives.
Westmill Solar and Westmill Wind are keen to demonstrate how community-owned renewables can improve the UK’s generation and use of energy to help create a low carbon future. Located on the same site in West Oxfordshire they aim to play their part in encouraging and developing a more sustainable way of life both locally and more widely. We want to see community-owned renewable energy thrive and we want the Westmill Story to help support the building of a movement.
The co-operatives are now looking to appoint a Communications and Support Officer to help achieve this. The role will support day-to-day operations and in particular, communications at all levels – with co-op members, the local communities around the Westmill site, the existing community fund grants programme, the Boards of Directors and with Energy4All.
The role will work closely with the Energy4All’s Westmill Wind and Solar Manager, who is responsible for the overall services delivered to the two co-ops. Westmill Wind and Solar are two of the 34 community energy co-operatives in the Energy4All family.
Expected salary level £26k - 30k depending on experience.
